2019 Pool Freediving National Championships.
2 weeks have gone since the Bristol Blue UK National Pool Freediving Championships, and happy memories from this great event are still fresh and alive.
We have since enjoyed 2 weeks of no training, just relaxing and eating but now it’s time to go back to the drawing board and plan new our targets and training programs, as always there is room for improvements and small adjustments in training.
We hope to see all the athletes competing again and smashing they personal bests with smiles.
Once again the Bristol Team kept theyir high standards of organizing this superb event , with over 45 athletes from 14 countries competing in 4 disciplines (sta),(dyn),(dnf).
Blue Water Team had a strong team of 3 athletes Adam Drzazga, Shirley Turner and Alex Barton.
As expected not all the dives went the way we would like but that’s just how it goes in competitions, sometimes we can achieve a great performance and sometimes other elements or the pressure of a competition takes over. With so many athletes competing there was lots of dives to watch and to learn from.
Polish Freedivers took overall podium with amazing performances and national records.
Agnieszka Kalska & Tomasz Ratajak, took gold for International athletes, International silver medallists were Alice Hickson & Aristo Vounakis(GR), and bronze went to Lucelle Simms (UK) & Jesper Lauridsen (DK).
