Great way to start your freediving Experience our AIDA ** Freediver Course is the foundation freediving course, covering the necessary skills and knowledge for a non competitive recreational freediver to safely freedive with or without a guide line. It is designed to be a freediving beginners course for students who are already confident and happy in the water.

The AIDA *** is an intermediate course which builds on the skills learnt in the AIDA ** course. It is designed to cover the necessary skills and knowledge for a recreational freediver to be able to safely freedive with or without a guideline. The aim of the course is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to independently plan and participate in freediving activities with similarly experienced freedive buddies.

The AIDA **** Freediver. It aims to meet the needs of those freedivers who want to continue freediving beyond a recreational level. Students will be familiarised with the techniques, knowledge and safety procedures for deep freediving, such as exhale diving and mouth fill.This qalification will allow you to become an fully qualified assistant on Freediving Courses .

AIDA **Beginner Freediver Course

Great way to start your freediving Experience our AIDA ** Freediver Course is the foundation freediving course, covering the necessary skills and knowledge for a non competitive recreational freediver to safely freedive with or without a guide line. It is designed to be a freediving beginners course for students who are already confident and happy in the water. The purpose of the course is to familiarise the student with the skills, knowledge, planning, organisation, safety procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of breath hold freediving. Students will be introduced to the basic disciplines of freediving; Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea and Constant Weight freediving. At the end of our courses you will receive a handout to take home.


What to expect

Theory takes place first, during the day we cover all aspects of beginner or intermediate level Freediving, from disciplines, anatomy, techniques and safety. followed by pool practicals, safety and assessment. There is time to eat your packed lunch during the theory lectures, please bring a bottle of water.

Equipment

(Not included in the price of the course) Mask - Fins - swim wear (aqua-skins / triathlon / wet suit / rash-vests are recommended) We can provide masks and fins for hire - although we have limited stock, it will be a 'first booked first secured' basis
Scuba fins, snorkel fins, masks and drysuits are not suitable for freediving, please do not bring these!

Prerequisites

To enrol in the AIDA ** Freediver course, an individual must: • Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent or guardian consent)
• Be able to swim at least 200m non stop without fins and at least 300m non stop with mask, fins and snorkel
• Have completed the AIDA Medical Form
• Have completed the Liability Release

COURSE PURPOSE


The AIDA *** is an intermediate course which builds on the skills learnt in the AIDA ** course. It is designed to cover the necessary skills and knowledge for a recreational freediver to be able to safely freedive with or without a guideline. The aim of the course is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to independently plan and participate in freediving activities with similarly experienced freedive buddies.
The course is also designed to develop new skills and a higher knowledge of safety procedures and techniques for freediving such as free falling, Frenzel equalising, training tables, the risks of increasing and decreasing pressure and how to minimise these risks.
At the end of our courses you will receive a handout to take home.

PREREQUISITES

To enrol in the AIDA *** Freediver course, an individual must:
• Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent or guardian consent)
• Have completed the AIDA ** Freediver course or equivalent, or have participated in 5 AIDA ranked comps, within the last 6 years with AIDA ranked results of at least 35m CWT, 3.45min static and 75m DYN and have passed the AIDA** Exam.
• Have completed the AIDA Medical Form.
• Have completed the Liability Release.

AIDA ****Master Freediver Course


Become Proffesional

COURSE PURPOSE

The AIDA **** course is an advanced freediving course, designed to continue a freediver’s training beyond the level of AIDA *** Freediver. It aims to meet the needs of those freedivers who want to continue freediving beyond a recreational level. Students will be familiarised with the techniques, knowledge and safety procedures for deep freediving, such as exhale diving and mouth fill. They will develop their skills within the main categories of freediving; Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea, Constant Weight, Free Immersion and Variable Weight, even though the main focus is on Constant Weight. Besides the in water skills, the students will be introduced to full body stretching, lung stretching including cross training and diet that will benefit their freediving development. This qalification will allow you to become an fully qualified assistant on Freediving Courses To successfully complete the AIDA 4 star freediver course you will have to perform a 3 minute 30 second breathold, swim 70 m underwater with fins and dive to 32 meters in the open water . At the end of our courses you will receive a handout to take home.

PREREQUISITES
To enrol in the AIDA **** Freediver course, an individual must:
• Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent or guardian consent)
• Have completed the AIDA *** Freediver course or equivalent.
• Have completed the AIDA Medical Form.
• Have completed the Liability Release.
• Have completed a course in First Aid with CPR within the last two years.
